Available for sale is this fully 3D CAD designed laser cut wooden kit of the famous 1960’s race boat, the Switzer Wing.  This model is approximately 1:6 scale, with dimensions around 35” long and 14” wide.  The kit includes all the framework parts required.  Skin sheets are not included, as the preferred sheeting type, thickness, and method often vary with the individual. 

This model has been designed to be powered by two 3.5cc outboard motors.  With two quite separate ‘sponsons’ separated by an aerofoil centre section, the best solution is to run totally separate fuel tanks and radio boxes, one for each engine.  The compartments for the radio gear and fuel tanks are fully integrated in to the kit, with a removable cowling over each side for easy access.  The radio boxes include pre-cut servo trays to accommodate two standard sized servos, and also the supports for a tape down lid (not included).  Like the full size boat, the kit includes a moving elevator at the rear of the centre section.  A simple turnbuckle can be added for adjustment, or a servo operated system could be easily integrated for on the water adjustments.

With over 160 parts in the kit, you can be assured that all these components will be located correctly and fit together well thanks to the combined accuracy of CAD design and laser cutting.  As well as an instruction manual to aid assembly, each component is laser labeled for easy location and installation.
